We are pleased to award the Stephen H. Novak Scholarship to Blue Moon’s Raegan Boze. This scholarship fund was established to honor our friend, Stephen, who was a bartender for us at Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar. He passed away in August 2021 after a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. In addition to bartending, Stephen was a lawyer who enjoyed surfing, traveling, and fishing. He had a warm smile and was a great conversationalist. We sure do wish he was still with us!
The $1,500 scholarship is awarded annually to an employee of Blue Moon Beach Grill who is studying at an accredited institution of higher learning.
When Raegan isn’t bartending at Blue Moon Beach Grill, she is pursuing a degree in Nursing. Her mother is her greatest role model and she is following in her footsteps. “My mom became an RN while I was a baby and I grew up with her working in the emergency department. I watched her grow and love working as a nurse and it inspired me to start to look into it.”
Reagan has an interest in both Eastern and Western medicines working together. “I’ve gone through yoga teacher training, Ayurveda health coach training, and Reiki training in the past few years to develop a more holistic style of healing and learning to apply to what I learn in the future.”
We are proud of Reagan and look forward to watching her grow in this next chapter. Congrats from your Blue Crew family!
